OHANA ARTS VOCAL ENSEMBLE

Raising Voices. Spreading Peace. Building Community.

Launched in Fall 2025, the Ohana Arts Vocal Ensemble is an inspiring new choir experience for singers ages 11–18 who are passionate about music, performance, and making a difference. This dynamic ensemble brings together talented young vocalists to perform exciting covers of today’s pop hits and beloved musical theatre favorites—delivering performances that uplift, energize, and connect.

More than just a choir, the Ohana Arts Vocal Ensemble is driven by a heartfelt mission: to spread peace and goodwill throughout our community through the universal language of music. In addition to public concerts, the ensemble shares its talents through meaningful outreach performances at retirement homes, assisted living facilities, hospitals, and other community spaces—bringing joy to audiences of all ages.

Members of the ensemble also step into the world of digital performance, creating and releasing professionally produced music videos on the Ohana Arts YouTube channel, giving students a unique opportunity to build confidence, creativity, and a real-world artistic portfolio.

AUDITIONS

We invite students in grades 6-12 to audition for membership in the Ohana Arts Vocal Ensemble. Please be aware that auditions for the 2025-2026 season have already concluded. We will hold auditions for the 2026-2027 season in May 2026. Please join our mailing list to be sure to receive notification when audition information is announced!

REHEARSALS

Rehearsals are held every Sunday from 4 PM 6 PM, with occasional sessions from 2 PM to 6 PM for recordings. Additionally, students should plan to attend 2 to 4 filming dates each year, which will be scheduled on weekends. Students are allowed up to 3 excused absences per semester, which must be discussed with and approved by the directors prior to the first rehearsal.

PERFORMANCES

Students will have the opportunity to perform 3-6 times per semester. In addition to a two culminating public concerts, the choir will perform in at retirement homes, assisted living facilities, hospitals, shopping malls, and other community spaces. Students will also film 2-4 music videos per year.
